my nitro car has scraps of metal in the engine. is that bad?
the pull cord wouldnt pull. soo i took the engine head off and on top of the piston there was pile of little scraps of metal.. i took all the little pieces out and blew compressed air in and a ton of little scraps came out. i put it back together and the pull cord went a couple times, then the pull cord jammed again so i stopped and theres alot of scraps of metal on the piston again.
so i guess what im trying to ask is wat should i do take it in get a new engine or wat because its not even 2 months old.
its a nitro TC3 if that helps im just new to the rc world and i need help
it is not running lean or anything it was tuned by my neighbor thats been doing this for 19 years and everything else is the same
so if u have any idea on what i should do please let me know
Dude, the motor is fried. If it was a real car engine, it would be gone. Metal particles in the engine means that it was running lean, not enough fuel/oil. It’s coming apart from the inside out. Who tuned it to begin with?
Even if you did get it fixed, the tollerances wouldn’t be there because little bits and pieces of the engine is gone. That’s all
the metal shavings that you’ve blown out. Get a new motor, and have someone who knows what they’re doing tune it.
